Staff Accountant

Description

We are looking for a Staff Accountant in the Middlesex County, NJ area. In this role you will be responsible for cash application, bank reconciliations, journal entries, financial reporting, month end close, and more. If you are detail orientated and have 2+ years of experience as a Staff Accountant, this might be the opportunity for you!

Responsibilities:

- Manage accounts receivable processes, including timely cash application and related transactions.

- Prepare journal entries and maintain the general ledger with accuracy.

- Perform bank reconciliations to ensure proper alignment of financial records.

- Handle month-end closing activities, ensuring timely and accurate completion.

- Collaborate with internal teams to optimize financial procedures and reporting.

Requirements

- 2+ years of experience as a Staff Accountant.

- Experience with cash applications and bank reconciliations.

- Strong knowledge of journal entries and general ledger maintenance

- Ability to handle month-end close processes and manage financial tasks.

- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills.

- Effective communication and organizational abilities to work collaboratively within a team.

- Familiarity with accounting software and tools commonly used in financial operations.
