The Bank is searching for an Investment Accountant who will be responsible for the accounting and reconciliations related to the investment portfolio of the Company.

Responsible for tracking principal and interest payments, reconciling cash accounts used in settling securities, and ensuring the investment portfolio sub‑ledger system ties to the general ledger.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance

• 2-3 years of work experience in Accounting or Finance, with specialization in treasury/securities‑related products

• Provide a breakdown of the investment portfolio required for SEC and regulatory reporting, and research and explain variances from prior quarter and prior year.
• Reconcile the investment portfolio monthly and reconcile cash accounts daily; investigate reconciling items with Treasury and external counter parties, identify reasons for cash differences on securities settlements, and make corrections as needed.
• Record activity of the investment portfolio, including changes in principal & interest payments, monthly accruals, discount/premium amortization, and changes in market value; own and prepare reporting and analysis on the portfolio using information from the investments system to enhance monthly and quarterly financial reporting.
• Handle special projects and ad‑hoc requests as needed.
• Understand products and mapping from the sub‑ledger to the general ledger; propose changes for mapping when needed for new products or reporting changes; possess technical knowledge of products to identify mapping changes needed.

• Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel, including advanced formulas and pivot tables.
• Detail‑oriented, organized, and able to work with various professional groups in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proficiency in generally accepted accounting principles.
