Job Description & How to Apply Below

We are a family office focused on long-term investments in high-quality compounders: businesses with durable moats, aligned management, and the ability to reinvest in the business and compound over time.

We are looking to add a junior investment analyst to our team. This role is well suited for someone early in their investing career who has “caught the investing bug.” We value independent thinking with a deep intellectual curiosity and enthusiasm for discovering hidden opportunities across various industries and around the globe.

We are using LLMs and other AI tools to enhance and accelerate the investment research process. Significant experience with Python (or comfort with vibe coding) for data collection/analysis, equity analysis, and LLM/AI workflows is strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and analyze high-quality compo under stocks, with a focus on long-term value creation.
  • Conduct deep fundamental research, combining qualitative assessment of business models and management teams with rigorous quantitative valuation analysis.
  • Help develop an AI-driven investment screening framework using external data and LLMs to surface a focused list of high-quality compounders from a broad equity universe.
  • Build and maintain robust Excel-based financial models to assess investment opportunities. Leverage Python to automate data pipelines, perform quantitative analysis, and support the development of AI-driven framework.
  • Clearly articulate investment cases, including thesis, key drivers, upside/downside, and risks.
  • Monitor existing positions, updating views as new information emerges and risks/opportunities evolve.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • 2+ years of experience in investment analysis, equity research, investment banking, private equity, or a related field. 2+ years of individual investing in long-term compounders will also be considered.
  • Advanced Excel skills; proficiency with Python for data analysis, model automation, or research tooling is highly desirable.
  • Solid understanding of financial statements, SEC filings, and key performance metrics.
  • Experience building and critiquing valuation models, including DCFs, scenario and sensitivity analysis, and market/transaction multiples, with a focus on long-term free cash flow and downside protection.
  • Strong analytical skills, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to work independently.
Additional Considerations

We place a premium on genuine, demonstrated interest in long-term investing and compounders—whether through personal investing, prior research, or contributions to platforms such as Sum Zero, VIC, Seeking Alpha, or Substack.

We are also interested in creative ideas for using LLMs and other AI tools to analyze unstructured data and generate qualitative insights to support the investment process.
