Job Title
Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner – Orthopedic (Spine, Extremity, Pain Management; no narcotics, only procedures)
Location- Central NJ:
Old Bridge, Hamilton, Brick, Edison
Full-time, part-time, per diem, or contract (full-time position possible)
OverviewWe are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our dynamic Orthopedic Spine and Extremity practice. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will work closely with our renowned Orthopedic practice to provide exceptional patient care, assist in surgeries, and contribute to the overall success of our practice.
Responsibilities- Conduct thorough pre‑operative and post‑operative assessments of patients.
- Review patient medical histories and perform physical examinations.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests (X‑rays, MRIs, CT scans).
- Work up patients and indicate injections and procedures.
- Manage a mix of follow‑ups, new patients, telemeds, injections, and surgery (surgery assist optional).
- Collaborate with the Ortho‑Spine and Ortho Extremity surgeon and other PA’s to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
- Provide patient education on treatment options, potential risks, and post‑operative care.
- Conduct follow‑up appointments to monitor patients’ progress and address concerns.
- Manage and update patient records with accurate documentation.
- Assist in coordination of patient care, including referrals and consultations.
- No rounding, no call, no weekend required (optional).
- Collaborate with nurses, physical therapists, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Communicate effectively with patients and families, addressing questions and concerns.
- Participate in team meetings to discuss patient cases and treatment plans.
- Engage in continuous professional development: stay current with Orthopedic advances, attend conferences, workshops, and training sessions.
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or NP program.
- Current NJ state license and certification as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner.
- Previous experience in Orthopedic Surgery (training will be provided for the right candidate).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team‑oriented environment.
