The Compliance Manager is responsible for ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies within the transportation and logistics industry. They develop and implement compliance programs, monitor compliance activities, and provide guidance to mitigate risks. The Compliance Manager plays a critical role in maintaining a strong ethical culture and promoting regulatory compliance throughout the organization. This is an in‑office position located in the Metropark Train Station area in Iselin, NJ.
Responsibilities- Responsible for outlining processes and documentation for support
- Oversees the day‑to‑day operational supporting Cargo Wise reports and ACE portal support
- Maintains and manages customer service requests by internal stakeholders
- Provides production applications support as needed
- Manages and monitors existing functionalities and defines new functionality as needed for application integrity and optimization
- Interfaces with internal and external technical staff and stakeholders to define application solutions, problem resolution and troubleshooting
- Supports and generates reports for management informed decisions
- Supports brokerage business through Cargo Wise application
- Supports business/sales organization during tender/RFQ process related to customer integration from a business perspective
- Acts as the first point of contact for local business, sales organization when an integration and/or adjustment is requested
- Responsible for technical documentation of system components and processes
- Defines and creates test scenarios for messages related to the integration request, inbound & outbound
- Performs User Acceptance Tests (UAT) within agreed timeline
- Acts as the first point of contact for business after Go‑live, monitoring, troubleshooting and creating incidents for any issue during hyper‑care phase
- Strong understanding of brokerage
- Experience with SQL, ERP, databases
- Understanding of 3rd party logistics, transportation systems and/or warehouse management (preferred)
- Knowledge of leading industry technologies with strong knowledge around IT governance, project planning, and the technological usage/alternatives available in a multi‑platform environment
- Thorough understanding of XML and EDI
- General understanding of the SCM including forwarding, US Customs, MQ, AMS, ABI, ACH, Drawback, Declarations, commercial invoicing, manifests, bookings, purchase orders, HTS, ISF
- General understanding of export is a plus
- PC literacy with command of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, etc.)
- Bachelor’s degree from a 4‑year college or university
- Minimum 1 to 2 years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
For this position, the expected base pay is: $86,500 - $129,500 / annual. Actual base compensation will be determined based on various factors including job‑related knowledge, skills, experience, geographic location and other objective business considerations.
