Position SummaryEverest is seeking a tech-savvy Event Support Specialist to provide hands‑on support for all meetings, conferences, and events held at Everest offices or off‑site venues. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in audio/visual equipment and virtual meeting platforms, ensuring seamless execution of hybrid and in‑person events.
Key Responsibilities- Provide on‑site and remote support for internal and external meetings, conferences, and corporate events.
- Set up, test, and operate audio/visual equipment, including microphones, speakers, projectors, video walls, and conferencing systems.
- Support and troubleshoot virtual meeting platforms including Microsoft Teams, Webex, Zoom, and others.
- Collaborate with IT, Facilities, and Event Planning teams to ensure all technical aspects of events are covered.
- Maintain and manage inventory of A/V equipment and supplies.
- Provide real‑time troubleshooting during live events to ensure minimal disruption.
- Assist with recording, streaming, and post‑event media management.
- Train and guide Everest employees on best practices for using meeting technologies.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend upgrades or improvements.
- Proven experience in event support or A/V technical roles, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Teams, Webex, Zoom, and other conferencing platforms.
- Strong knowledge of audio/visual systems, including mixers, switchers, microphones, and display technologies.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple events simultaneously.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, or weekends as needed for event coverage.
- Ability to lift and transport equipment (up to 50 lbs).
- Certifications in A/V technology or meeting platforms (e.g., Teams, Webex, Zoom)
- Experience with hybrid event setups and streaming technologies.
- Familiarity with event management software or scheduling tools.
