Business Analyst - Guidewire ClaimCenter

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Business Analyst. This position is on-site once a month for 4-consecutive days near Woodbridge, NJ.

Summary:

The client is looking for a Business Analyst with Guidewire Claim Center experience to support business and technology initiatives within a Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance environment. This individual will work closely with business stakeholders, claims operations teams, and technical resources to analyze requirements, improve processes, and support ongoing enhancements to the Guidewire Claim Center platform.

This role is ideal for someone who understands insurance claims operations and can translate business needs into detailed functional requirements while working within an Agile environment.

Responsibilities:

* Facilitate requirements gathering sessions with business stakeholders and subject matter experts

* Analyze current business processes and document future-state workflows

* Create and maintain business requirements, functional specifications, user stories, process flows, and related project documentation

* Collaborate with product owners and project teams to prioritize requirements and support delivery objectives

* Document and analyze Guidewire Claim Center business rules, workflows, and configuration requirements

* Define functional requirements related to Claim Center screens, data models, field configurations, typelists, and system integrations

* Partner with technical teams to support integration efforts across insurance platforms and enterprise applications

* Develop and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) plans, test scenarios, and defect management activities

* Support Agile ceremonies, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, and requirements reviews

* Serve as a liaison between business and technical teams to ensure successful solution delivery

REQUIREMENTS:

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

* 3+ years of experience within Property & Casualty insurance

* 2+ years of experience working as a Business Analyst or Functional Analyst supporting Guidewire Claim Center

* Strong understanding of claims operations, including claim life cycles, exposures, reserves, recoveries, payments, and litigation processes

* Experience gathering and documenting business and functional requirements

* Experience supporting Agile/Scrum software delivery methodologies

* Strong proficiency with Jira, Visio, Microsoft Office, and requirements documentation tools

* Experience creating and executing UAT scenarios and coordinating testing efforts

* Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications:

* Guidewire Claim Center certification

* Experience with Policy Center, Billing Center, or Contact Manager

* Understanding of Guidewire out-of-the-box functionality and best practices

* Experience supporting Guidewire implementations, upgrades, or enhancement projects

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
