Lead Transformation Program Manager – Banking/Cards Legacy Modernization
Onsite 5 days/week
Our client seeks a Lead Transformation Program Manager for a huge, multi-year legacy modernization program spanning 50+ interdependent applications (bigger in scope than 200 apps elsewhere). Must have large, complex program management experience from firms like Accenture or Deloitte, with proven large-scale banking/financial transformations moving COBOL mainframe systems to loosely-coupled architecture. Strong credit card processing/payments knowledge required. Exposure to Kafka, Splunk, cloud, DB2, Databricks, and AI/Python a plus.
Not a cloud or data-center migration role.
You will represent the client across five stakeholder groups — client product owners, client tech group, CTO/infrastructure, PMO, and Mphasis leadership — owning expectation, risk, escalation, and dispute management between client and internal teams, plus managing architects, lead SMEs, and TDLs.
Requirements:
15+ years IT experience, 10+ in banking/financial services with cards domain exposure, strong Agile/Waterfall SDLC knowledge, and PM tool proficiency (MS Project, Jira, Confluence). PMP/PgMP preferred.
Extroverted, thick-skinned, outcome-driven, technically fluent communicator comfortable owning 50+ nuanced applications at once, not just one or two.
