Litigation Associate (General Liability) - Hybrid

Our multi-disciplinary firm client is seeking an early-career litigation attorney to support a busy civil defense practice. This role offers hands‑on experience across all phases of litigation, from case intake through trial and appeal, with regular client interaction and courtroom exposure.

• Review and manage new matters from inception
• Communicate directly with clients and stakeholders
• Handle discovery, including drafting, responses, and arguments
• Research legal issues and draft persuasive briefs and memoranda
• Prepare and argue motions, including dispositive filings
• Participate in pretrial conferences, hearings, trials, and appeals

• JD from an accredited law school with an active New Jersey license (New York admission a plus)
• 2–5 years of civil litigation experience, preferably in general liability defense
• Exposure to areas such as motor vehicle defense, premises liability, construction accidents, UM/UIM, or product liability is a plus
• Trial or courtroom experience preferred
• Comfortable working with modern legal and document management tools
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment
