Logistics Coordination, Supply Chain & Logistics, Operations Management
Duties & Responsibilities:
Execute Domestic & International Logistics Operations (40%)
Support the implementation and day-to-day execution of domestic transportation and international logistics processes. Coordinate import/export activities and ensure shipments comply with established regulatory compliance and company requirements. Partner with internal stakeholders to support planning and forecasting activities.
Support Carrier and 3PL Relationships (20%)Assist in managing relationships with carriers and third‑party logistics providers. Participate in carrier performance reviews and help monitor service levels, costs, and operational effectiveness. Support sourcing events and provide input into carrier evaluations.
Coordinate Logistics Projects & Process Improvements (20%)Contribute to logistics improvement initiatives, including network optimization efforts and process standardization. Help ensure consistent use of transportation systems (TMS) and support ongoing efforts to improve efficiency, cost control, and service levels across locations.
Team Supervision & Daily Operations Management (20%)Provide day-to-day direction and support to logistics team members. Monitor daily inbound and outbound shipment activities to ensure timely execution and adherence to company policies and procedures. Support team development through coaching, training, and performance feedback.
Qualifications:Education Minimum
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Transportation, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required:
- 5–8 years of progressive experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain operations.
- Experience coordinating domestic and/or international shipments, including exposure to import/export processes and regulatory requirements.
- Prior experience supervising or leading small teams preferred.
Technical & Functional Skills
- Working knowledge of transportation operations, carrier management, and logistics processes.
- Familiarity with TMS, WMS, freight payment systems, and Microsoft Office tools (especially Excel).
- Basic understanding of trade compliance requirements and documentation.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to follow established processes while identifying opportunities for efficiency improvements.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams, carriers, and external partners.
- Capable of presenting information and responding to operational inquiries.
- Demonstrated ability to provide day-to-day direction, coaching, and support to team members.
- Ability to foster a positive team environment and promote accountability.
- Ability to identify issues, gather relevant information, and implement practical solutions.
- Exercises sound judgment within defined guidelines and escalates more complex issues as needed.
- Commitment to service excellence, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution of issues.
