About the Role

The Director of Inventory Management is a strategic leadership position responsible for overseeing and optimizing the entire inventory lifecycle across the organization. This role ensures that inventory levels are maintained at optimal levels to meet customer demand while minimizing carrying costs and reducing waste. This position will also analyze inventory data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for continuous improvement.

What You’ll Do
  • Site Supervision
    :
    Lead and manage multiple facilities and their inventory control teams to ensure that they are operating efficiently and are following company policies and operational procedures.
  • Inventory Management
    :
    Oversee the maintenance and accuracy of all inventory data across all sites. Perform regular check-ins with sites on their cycle counts, full physical inventories, and spot checks to ensure stock accuracy.
  • Discrepancy Resolution
    :
    Work with sites to investigate and resolve any inventory discrepancies, such as overages, shortages, or damage, in a timely manner.
  • Warehouse Management System (WMS):
    Ensure accurate and efficient use of the WMS to track inventory movements, adjustments, and updates. Train staff on the effective use of the system.
  • Product Handling
    :
    Ensure that all sites are proper handling, storing, and labeling products. Ensure that teams are properly monitoring temperatures for products to maintain their integrity and minimize damage or spoilage.
  • Process Improvement
    :
    Identify areas for improvement in inventory management processes and implement strategies to enhance accuracy and productivity.
  • Safety & Compliance
    :
    Ensure all sites adhere to all safety protocols, particularly in handling cold storage products. Promote a safe working environment and enforce the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
What You Bring to the Pak
  • Experience
    • At least 7 years of experience in inventory management or supply chain roles with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership capacity.
    • Experience in cold storage or food logistics is preferred.
    • Proven experience managing inventory systems and using inventory management software.
    • Demonstrated success in implementing Lean or Six Sigma methodologies to improve inventory processes.
    • Experience working in a fast-paced, multi-site environment with a global supply chain.
    • Experience with advanced inventory forecasting tools and ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Education
    • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics or a related field.
    • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline preferred.
    • Certifications
      : supply chain or inventory management (e.g., APICS CPIM or CSCP).
  • Skills
    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
    • Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
