University Correctional Health Care (UCHC), operating within Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Part‑Time Licensed Practical Nurse for the Adult Diagnostic Treatment Center located in Avenel, NJ.

UCHC provides physical, mental health, dental, and sex offender treatment services to individuals in the New Jersey criminal justice system. The Adult Diagnostic Treatment Center supports evidence‑based care in a correctional environment.

• Participate in data collection related to patients' status and needs.
• Provide input to Registered Nurse to incorporate information into the plan of care.
• Provide direct patient care within scope of practice to ensure implementation of the plan of care.
• Inform and instruct patients and significant others on health, illness, and plan of care.
• Assist patients and significant others in preparation for discharge and health maintenance at home.
• Document all aspects of patient care.

• Valid registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse in New Jersey.
• CPR certification.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel between sites.

• At least six (6) months of experience in an acute hospital setting.

First responders must be able to perform CPR for at least 10 minutes and lift or rotate patients up to 50 pounds. The position requires onsite work during evening shifts.

Graduate 215. Minimum Salary: $32,520;
Mid Range Salary: $33,020;
Maximum Salary: $34,010.
