Are you a Field Service Technician with strong electrical troubleshooting experience looking for a role where you can be home every night?
We’re working with a well-established industrial equipment business that is looking for an experienced Field Service Technician to join its growing team. This is a hands-on role working directly with industrial customers, troubleshooting, servicing and repairing complex mechanical and electrical equipment.
The role would suit someone with a strong electrical/electromechanical troubleshooting background. Experience with HVAC, compressors, pumps or other industrial equipment would be a major advantage.
You’ll be responsible for:- Installing, servicing, maintaining and repairing industrial equipment
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical and pneumatic control systems
- Working with 3-phase electrical systems, motors, starters, transformers and circuit protection
- Troubleshooting control panels and control boards
- Working with Variable Speed Drives (VSDs) and AC/DC drives
- Reading and interpreting electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic schematics
- Troubleshooting sensors, switches, transducers and other feedback devices
- Carrying out preventative maintenance and general mechanical tasks
- Supporting equipment installations and associated field work
- Communicating professionally with customers and providing effective technical support
- Previous experience in field service, industrial maintenance or electromechanical service
- Strong electrical troubleshooting experience
- Good understanding of motors, controls and electrical systems
- Ability to read electrical and pneumatic diagrams
- Experience with VSDs, drives, control panels or PLC/relay logic
- Mechanical aptitude and hands-on troubleshooting ability
- HVAC experience is highly desirable but not essential
- Comfortable working independently at customer sites
