Job Title:
Java Developer - Capital Markets

Location: Iselin, NJ (Hybrid - 2 to 3 days onsite per week)

We are looking for a skilled Java Developer with deep knowledge of Capital Markets to support the design, development, and deployment of trading and risk management applications. The ideal candidate should have strong Java backend skills, understanding of financial instruments, and experience working in a high-performance, low-latency environment.

Key Responsibilities :

Design and develop robust, scalable, and high-performance Java-based applications.
Collaborate with front-office, risk, and technology teams to gather and understand business requirements.
Build integrations with market data feeds, trading systems, and clearing/settlement platforms.
Develop solutions for pricing, risk calculations, and trade processing.
Maintain and improve existing systems with a focus on performance tuning and optimization.
Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment.
Ensure solutions adhere to best practices and regulatory requirements.

Required Skills &

Qualifications:

10+ years of professional Java development experience.
Strong knowledge of Core Java, Spring Boot, Multithreading, and Concurrency.
Experience in Capital Markets, including products like equities, fixed income, derivatives, or FX.
Solid understanding of trading workflows, market data, and order management systems.
Proficiency with SQL and experience with databases like Oracle or PostgreSQL.
Familiarity with messaging systems (e.g., Kafka, MQ).
Exposure to low-latency systems and performance tuning.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Preferred

Skills:

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Familiarity with Dev Ops tools (CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, Docker).
Knowledge of regulatory reporting (e.g., Dodd-Frank, MiFID II) is a plus.
Experience with front-office or electronic trading systems.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Master's degree is a plus.
