About the role

As Lead Captain, you carry ultimate responsibility for safe, efficient, and professional flight operations to the highest standards of safety, security, and quality. Beyond line flying, you will mentor and develop crew members, champion a culture of excellence, and represent Jet Aviation as a trusted brand ambassador.

What you’ll do
  • Serve as Pilot in Command for assigned flights, ensuring uncompromising safety and compliance.
  • Plan, brief, and execute missions: conduct pre- and post-flight inspections, file flight plans, and evaluate weather, NOTAMs, and routing to make informed decisions.
  • Maintain expert-level knowledge of all aircraft systems and performance; adapt flight plans to changing conditions for a seamless travel experience.
  • Lead, mentor, and coach crew members; conduct feedback and performance reviews; coordinate training and scheduling for operational continuity.
  • Champion a strong safety culture: deliver passenger briefings, adhere to best practices, and collaborate with maintenance to resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Manage trip documentation, maintain aircraft manuals and records, assist with crew hiring, and uphold Jet Aviation’s professional standards in every interaction.
What you bring
  • FAA Airline Transport Pilot Certificate (ATP) — Unrestricted or Restricted — and a current FAA First Class Medical.
  • Minimum 5 years of aviation experience.
  • Minimum flight time: 3,500 hours total fixed-wing; 1,500 hours as Pilot in Command; 1,500 hours multi-engine; 500 hours turbojet; 500 hours turbine; 100 hours night; 75 hours simulated instrument.
  • High school diploma (or equivalent) required; college degree preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Flexible to work a variable schedule aligned to mission needs; able and willing to travel extensively worldwide with no restrictions.
  • Preferred strengths: exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills; meticulous attention to detail; quality-driven mindset; proactive and resourceful problem-solving handled with integrity and discretion.
