Requirements
Must have:- We are looking for a bachelors degree in computer science, electrical engineering, automation engineering, or an equivalent background, or 2 years of PLC programming or automation engineering experience.
- We require experience in PLC-based controls design, development, implementation, and support.
- We are looking for hands-on experience with Ladder Logic and structured programming on Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or Codesys PLCs, or 2 years of comparable experience.
- We need the ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
- Preferred experience includes working with material handling, flow, and capacity.
- Preferred experience includes industrial control systems, covering both hardware and software.
Responsibilities:
- We serve as the site expert for maintaining the automation systems that are essential to operations.
- We troubleshoot and maintain material handling control systems, including PLC and PC controllers, industrial networks, motor control systems, servo drives, frequency drives, and electrical distribution systems.
- We monitor material handling equipment metrics and partner with maintenance and operations teams to resolve performance issues.
- We provide first-level escalation support for site technicians, both on-site and remotely.
- We perform and evaluate building system assessments to improve material handling system performance.
- We deliver proactive controls automation and technical support to maximize equipment reliability and operational performance.
- We analyze performance data, address complex control system issues, and help drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- We collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize material handling equipment systems and implement innovative projects.
