• Administer bedside and personal care
• Administer medications
• Assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene
• Feed or assist in feeding
• Launder clothing and household linens
• Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
• Plan therapeutic diets and menus
• Provide companionship
• Provide personal care
• Shop for food and household supplies
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals
• Cook

• Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live‑in basis (not a condition of employment)

• Work in employer's/client's home (Employer’s home)

• Education:
  
  Secondary (high school) graduation certificate
• Experience:
  
  2 to < 3 years in home care or similar field
• Skills and attributes:
  Dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, flexibility, initiative, judgement, reliability, patience, honesty
• Physical capabilities:
  Bending, crouching, kneeling; combination of sitting, standing, walking; sitting
• Weight handling:
  Up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs)
• Security clearance:
  Basic security clearance; reference required
• Must be authorized to work in Canada (citizen, permanent resident, or temporary resident with a valid work permit)
• Basic language requirements as listed in the posting
