Forklift Operator, Material Handler
We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced
Forklift Operator to join one of our client in automotive manufacturing sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving materials, components, and finished products throughout the facility while supporting production and warehouse operations.
Location:
Woodbridge, Vaughan Pay Rate: $24.34 per hour + 4% vacation pay
Shift: Night Shift – 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM Licenses
Required:
Counterbalance (Both Elecetric and Propane)
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate forklift equipment safely and efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Load, unload, move, and organize automotive parts and materials.
- Supply production lines with required materials in a timely manner.
- Transport finished products and materials between production and storage areas.
- Perform daily forklift inspections and report any equipment issues.
- Follow all workplace health and safety policies and procedures.
- Ensure materials are handled carefully to prevent damage.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area.
- Assist with inventory movement and warehouse activities as required.
- Follow instructions from supervisors and work effectively as part of a team.
- Comply with company policies, safety regulations, and PPE requirements.
- Valid forklift certification is required.
- Minimum 4-5 years experience reuqired.
- Previous forklift experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment is preferred.
- Automotive manufacturing experience is an asset.
- Ability to safely operate a forklift in a busy production environment.
- Good attention to detail and strong safety awareness.
- Ability to lift and move materials as required.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Willingness to work the 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM night shift.
The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced automotive manufacturing facility where safety, quality, productivity, and teamwork are key priorities. The position requires working around machinery, production equipment, forklifts, and automotive components.
