SUMMARY
The Woodbridge School District, a PK-6 school district of approximately 165 permanent active employees and approximately 875 students, is in need of substitute school nurses to support and provide direct substitute school nursing services as a substitute member of the nursing team at Beecher Road School.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Provides direct school nursing services in adherence with federal and state statutes, health and safety regulations, and district policies and procedures.
- Provides school nursing services for district students, employees, and visitors, including those related to required health assessments and immunizations.
- Collaborates with district administrators, school staff, District Medical Advisor, and local health department in relation to health needs of the district, its students, and its staff.
Required:
- Current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in the State of Connecticut, with up-to-date CPR certification
- Registered Nurse must have the equivalent of at least one year of full time employment as an RN within the last 5 years
Preferred:
- Associate or Bachelor degree in Nursing
- School health services or pediatric experience preferred
This position is a substitute, school-year unaffiliated position. Salary is $36/hour. Interested individuals are encouraged to contact the Office of the Nursing Supervisor for additional information.
