As a Landscape Architect, you will manage projects from concept through completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, on budget, and of the highest quality. You’ll lead coordination with clients, consultants, and internal teams while helping shape communities across Northern Virginia
Key Responsibilitie- s:
Manage the full project lifecycle for landscape architecture and site development projects from kickoff to closeo - ut.
Oversee technical tasks such as developing renderings, preparing conceptual plans, planting plans, hardscape layout, lighting, and construction detaili - ng.
Develop site design concepts and detailed plans for outdoor amenity spaces, including plazas, courtyards, and streetscap - es.
Oversee the preparation of construction details and technical specifications that align with project standards and local cod - es.
Prepare illustrative renderings, 3D visualizations, and presentation graphics to communicate design inte - nt.
Serve as the primary client point of contact, maintaining strong relationships and guiding communication between internal teams, consultants, and stakeholde - rs.
Facilitate collaboration with civil engineers, planners, architects, and other professiona - ls.
Provide mentorship, direction, and quality assurance for junior team membe
Qualificati
- ons:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture, Urban Planning, or a related f - ield.
5+ years of progressive experience with demonstrated project management responsibili - ties.
5+ years of experience working within Northern Virginia jurisdictions (Fairfax, Arlington, Prince William, Loud - oun).Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and other design t
- ools.
Experience with 3D modeling platforms such as Sketch Up, Enscape, and similar soft - ware.
Knowledge of entitlement processes, local codes, and permitting requirem - ents.
Proven ability to manage project schedules, budgets, and client relations - hips.
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication sk - ills.
