Job description:
We are seeking a confident and experienced Self Defense Instructor to lead engaging classes for students in Watsonville. The instructor will teach practical self‑defense techniques while promoting awareness, confidence, discipline, and personal safety.
Position OverviewThe Self Defense Instructor will guide students through structured lessons focused on personal protection, situational awareness, and basic defensive techniques. Classes should be interactive, educational, and appropriate for the students’ age group.

- Teach basic self‑defense techniques and safety strategies
. - Help students build confidence, awareness, and discipline
. - Ensure all activities are safe, structured, and age‑appropriate
. - Maintain a positive, respectful learning environment.
- Prepare lesson plans and lead engaging weekly classes.
- Experience in martial arts, self‑defense training, or related disciplines (Karate, Taekwondo, Jiu‑Jitsu, Krav Maga, etc.) preferred.
- Experience working with children or youth programs is a plus.
- Ability to manage a group of students in an active class setting.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
The ideal instructor is energetic, patient, and passionate about teaching students how to protect themselves while building confidence and respect for others.
