Deputy County Executive of Mobility, Economic & Resiliency

Prince William County is seeking qualified candidates for our Deputy County Executive of Mobility, Economic Growth & Resiliency career opportunity. The Deputy County Executive for Mobility, Economic Growth, and Resiliency is more than an administrator of individual departments. The enterprise leader who holds this position brings agencies, partners, resources, and strategies together to advance major priorities and translate vision into measurable results.

The qualified applicant will have a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in public administration, business administration, planning, economics, engineering, transportation, public policy, or a related field is expected. A master's degree in public administration, business administration, planning, public policy, or a related discipline is highly desirable. Significant progressively responsible executive or senior management experience in a large local government, public agency, regional organization, or comparably complex organization is strongly preferred.

Experience working directly with elected officials and leading multiple departments, major organizational functions, or complex cross-functional initiatives is highly desirable.

• Prince William County requires the selected candidate to reside within Prince William County following appointment.
• The selected candidate must also successfully pass a background check.
