A contract position is available for a skilled Sign Language Interpreter specializing in telehealth services within a school setting. This role focuses on facilitating effective communication for deaf and hard-of-hearing students during remote learning sessions and other telehealth interactions.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing accurate and clear sign language interpretation during telehealth educational sessions.
• Collaborating with educators and support staff to ensure accessibility.
• Maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
• Adapting interpretation styles to meet the needs of diverse student populations.

Preferred qualifications and experience:

• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) with strong interpretation skills.
• Experience working as a sign language interpreter in educational or telehealth environments.
• Familiarity with telecommunication platforms and remote interpreting technology.
• Understanding of the challenges faced by deaf and hard-of-hearing students.
• Ability to manage multiple requests and demonstrate flexibility in scheduling.
