Human Services Program Manager

We are seeking a leader who is committed to working with families to educate them on positive family practices and to prevent abuse and neglect. This leader will motivate staff to promote family stabilization and empower families through community connections. About This Role: The Program Manager oversees the Prevention Assessment Team and is responsible for all assignments, guidance, and monitoring of Child Welfare cases, whether voluntary or court-ordered. This role involves providing oversight and direction for case management in accordance with local, state, and federal policies. Additionally, the Program Manager will lead teams to engage and educate the community using innovative approaches and current best practices.

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in a Human Services field; OR a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in any field with a minimum of two years of appropriate and related experience in a Human Services related area.

Preferences:

• Master’s degree
• Proficiency in OASIS

• 2 years or more supervising a team
• Experience with APS, CPS, and Foster Care
• Experience entering information into OASIS
• Experience working with community partners, such as schools, law enforcement, and courts

Special Requirements:

• All DSS staff are required to provide emergency human services work, including staffing emergency shelters in the event of a community disaster.
• Candidates must pass criminal history, child protective services, and DMV background checks.
• Resource/foster parents for youth in the Prince William foster care program may not be employed by the Prince William Department of Social Services. Resource/foster parents for youth from other localities are welcome to apply.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and be eligible to drive for work.

Work Schedule: 37.5 hours a week. Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Possible after-hours work for emergencies or special assignments.

Hiring Salary Range: $98,475.00 to $
