Residential Program Manager

At Easterseals PORT Health (ESPH), our mission is to empower individuals, strengthen families, and help communities thrive. We are seeking an experienced and mission-driven Residential Program Manager to provide leadership and strategic oversight for our residential services.

This is an opportunity for an accomplished behavioral health leader to develop high-performing teams, strengthen program quality, influence operational strategy, and help shape exceptional residential crisis services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and behavioral health needs.

As the Residential Program Manager, you will provide operational and programmatic leadership across assigned group homes. You will lead through other residential leaders, helping teams achieve strong clinical, operational, fiscal, and service outcomes while maintaining a culture of accountability, collaboration, and person-centered support.

You will also serve as an important partner to internal teams, community agencies, referral sources, and other stakeholders working together to ensure individuals receive high-quality, responsive services.

Flexible schedule for this hybrid position with regular travel to residential facilities. Occasional overnight travel may be required.

• Lead program performance and operations across assigned group homes, promoting quality, consistency, accountability, and exceptional support for the individuals we serve.
• Develop and mentor residential leaders through coaching, goal setting, problem solving, performance management, and ongoing leadership development.
• Champion person-centered, recovery-oriented best practices while strengthening approaches to crisis services, family involvement, self-direction, health, and wellness.
• Drive operational and fiscal performance by monitoring budgets, revenue, expenses, labor, utilization, and other key program measures and proactively addressing areas of opportunity.
• Ensure quality and regulatory readiness by maintaining compliance with applicable licensing, payer, training, documentation, agency, and program requirements.
• Build strong partnerships and teams by supporting recruitment, admissions, referrals, and collaboration with employees, Community Service Boards, hospitals, MCOs, families, and community partners.

We're looking for a collaborative, solutions-focused leader who can see the big picture while staying connected to the people and programs behind it.

• Bachelor's degree from a USDOE or CHEA-accredited institution; human services or a related field preferred.
• Current Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) credential with the Virginia Department of Health Professions is REQUIRED
• Demonstrated leadership experience within residential services
  , including experience developing, coaching, and supporting successful teams.
• Experience with budget management, fiscal reporting, expense monitoring, and operational oversight
  .
• Strong knowledge of behavioral health and person-centered practices
  , including assessment, crisis services, goal development, and supporting individuals with complex needs.
• Strong strategic, communication, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, use EMR/EHR and Microsoft 365 technology, and regularly travel among residential locations.
• A valid, unrestricted driver's license and personal vehicle insurance are required.
