Job Overview
Inova Schar Cancer Institute’s Alexandria and Woodbridge locations are looking for a dedicated RN Unit Supervisor to join the Infusion team. This position is full‑time day shift, Monday–Friday, five 8‑hour shifts. Sign‑on bonus and relocation assistance are eligible.

The Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Supervisor serves as a front‑line leader accountable for delivering reliable results related to quality and best practices to improve the clinical operations of the unit. The role embraces research‑backed nursing practice, supports shared governance, leads by example with “Service Always”, and prioritizes patient experience. The supervisor acts as an engaged team member, provides coaching, mentoring, and encouragement to all healthcare team members to advance Inova’s “People Priority.”
Minimum Qualifications- Certification:
Basic Life Support; specialty certification (as required by unit) within 12 months of hire; chemotherapy/biotherapy within 3 months of hire. - Completion of a revised Charge Nurse workshop within 3 months of hire.
- Licensure:
Licensed Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia. - Experience:
1 year as a Registered Nurse. - Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (or Associate’s Degree RN within 1 year of completing their BSN).
- 2 years of oncology experience preferred.
- 2 years of infusion experience highly preferred.
