Registered Nurse – Traveler, Emergency

• Perform a competent level of nursing care using the nursing process
• Conduct assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care, teaching, health promotion, and evaluation
• Apply standards of professional nursing performance, including ethics, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice, quality, resource utilization, and environmental health
• Use clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards required by specific clinical areas
• Provide emergency department nursing care as a Registered Nurse

• Associate's Degree – Nursing, Bachelor's Degree – Nursing, or Diploma in Nursing
• Registered Nurse eligible to practice in VA
• ACLS, BLS NIHSS
• At least 2 years of recent bedside acute care in the Emergency Department as an RN required
• EPIC user strongly preferred
• Flexibility in scheduling required
• Able to work 12-hour night shifts and every other weekend
• Primary position; scheduling is not arranged around another job

Demonstrates comprehensive nursing care through assessment, diagnosis, planning, and implementation in the Emergency Department, while adhering to professional standards and evidence-based practices. Proficient in emergency nursing procedures and capable of utilizing clinical knowledge to enhance patient outcomes.
