Base + Unlimited Commission.

Training pay: $16 per hour for 2–6 weeks (no commission). Post‑training base pay: $14 per hour (varies by store). Uncapped commission: 2% on all sales, 3% on Design sales. Quarterly bonus opportunity of $1,500 based on individual goals.

- Consistently execute the La-Z-Boy selling process, providing a favorable experience.
- Develop sales skills and principals: approach, rapport, needs discovery, portfolio presentations, objections, closing, follow‑up, after‑sale service.
- Maximize store promotions, marketing initiatives, and grassroots programs.
- Maintain knowledge of product features and benefits.
- Schedule professional home consultations for customized room designs.
- Support design‑related functions in store.
- Provide excellent customer service, using product knowledge and the selling process.
- Use Podium for sales and follow‑up.
- Make sound business decisions for customer satisfaction and teamwork.
- Respond to calls, emails, and customer issues with solutions.
- Maintain relationships with store employees; coach new peers.
- Maintain visual appearance of store: displays, tagging, catalogs, moves, cleanliness.
- Accurately complete order information, deposits, fees, and records.
- Complete daily On‑Point system logs.
- Show sense of urgency, enthusiasm, and excitement.
- Maintain product knowledge and internal processes.
- Schedule deliveries with customers; open and close store.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous selling experience and ability to close a sale.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
- Strong interpersonal, persuasion, and negotiation skills.
- Time‑management and ability to handle conflicting priorities.
- Team player who works the schedule and business needs.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Initiative to meet assignments and goals.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds; stand for long periods; repetitive hand motions; hear and listen. Must sit, walk, bend, and stoop. Background and drug screen required.
