Job Brief
- Location:
Salud Medical Center, Woodburn, OR - Duration:
Part‑time, 0.5 FTE (20 hours per week) - Pay: $49.57–$61.34 per hour, DOE
- Additional pay for bilingual (English/Spanish) skills
- Hiring/Retention Bonus Structure:
• At Hire: $1,500
• At 180 days (6 months): $2,000
• At 12 months: $1,500 (pro‑rated for FTE) - EMR system: EPIC
- Relocation:
No - Employment
- 0.5 FTE (20 hours per week)
- EPIC EMR system
- $49.57–$61.34 hourly based on experience
- Add‑on pay for bilingual skills

- Provide preventive periodontal care (scaling, prophylaxis, root planing, sealants, preventive agents)
- Perform expanded functions (placing and carving restorations, managing temporary crowns) as permitted by licensure
- Take and manage dental X‑rays; complete periodontal charting and maintain accurate patient records
- Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide analgesia as needed
- Educate and counsel patients on oral hygiene and preventative care; develop hygiene treatment plans with providers
- Assist providers during exams and ensure operatories and instruments meet infection‑control standards
- Support clinic efficiency, quality initiatives, and compliance with TJC, HRSA, and YVFWC requirements
- Graduation from an accredited Dental Hygiene program
- Or:
Active Dental Hygiene license with restorative function endorsement - CPR certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire)
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred (level 10)
- Knowledge of standard dental practices and current hygiene concepts
- Ability to deliver care to patients of all ages and backgrounds
- Strong time‑management and organizational skills
- High manual dexterity and coordination
- Basic computer proficiency (Electronic Dental Records, Outlook, Word, Excel)
