Overview

We are seeking a Permanent Steel Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. You will be responsible for designing, planning, and overseeing the construction of steel structures, working closely with architects, contractors, and clients across the full project life cycle from conceptual design to completion.

Responsibilities
  • Design and analyze steel structures using industry-approved software such as AutoCAD.
  • Develop and review structural design plans and calculations to ensure compliance with building codes and regulations.
  • Conduct site inspections to monitor construction progress and verify conformity to design plans.
  • Collaborate with architects, contractors, and clients to understand design requirements and provide technical guidance.
  • Prepare and present design proposals, reports, and structural analyses to stakeholders.
  • Manage project documentation and maintain accurate records of design calculations and correspondence.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in steel design and construction technology and apply improvements to designs.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve design issues that arise during construction.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in steel design engineering in the construction industry.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar design software.
  • In-depth knowledge of building codes, regulations, and standards.
  • Strong understanding of structural analysis and design principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex design issues.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
