Assistant Store Manager – Pop-Up Outlet
Love the outdoors? We are seeking a passionate leader to join our pop‑up outlet and help create a dynamic, welcoming retail experience. The position will open this summer and run through early 2027.
Responsibilities- Lead a team in partnership with the Store Manager to deliver best‑in‑class guest experiences.
- Build connections and commit to bold objectives both in‑store and within the community.
- Develop team alignment with Arc’teryx Vision, Purpose, and Values.
- Show product expertise; inspire and educate team members about product knowledge.
- Create leadership development opportunities and celebrate team achievements.
- Drive profitability through guest and team engagement.
- Mentor the team toward personal and professional growth while ensuring engagement and profitability.
- Support and oversee all employee experience from onboarding to off‑boarding (hiring, training, performance management).
- Lead floor operations, coaching in the moment, and empower the team to self‑lead.
- Identify and develop a store leadership talent pipeline with the Store Manager.
- Collaborate with the Store Manager and Community Marketing Manager to execute store events that support the company mission and increase community involvement.
- Work with the Store Manager to evaluate team needs quarterly.
- Support store operations per the Store Manager’s assigned focus areas.
- Work weekends and holidays (e.g., Black Friday, December season) as required.
- Assist with the execution of all deliverables outlined in the Assistant Store Manager Role and Responsibilities document, and perform Product Guide and Lead responsibilities as needed.
- 2–3 years of leadership and retail management experience.
- Dynamic leadership skills and ability to recruit, hire, train, lead, motivate, retain, and develop future leaders.
- Entrepreneurial spirit with continuous improvement mindset.
- Passion for service and delivering an exceptional guest experience.
- Proven financial acumen: budgeting, forecasting sales, gross margin, expense control, and net profit.
- Ability to set a clear vision, align team around goals, and foster commitment.
- Balance autonomy and collaboration.
- Commitment to doing what is right and seeking the best solutions.
- Passion for leading and a genuine love for outdoor life.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent time management and problem‑solving ability.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
Full‑time: 30‑40 hours per week (5 days). Contract dates: summer 2026 through early 2027. Availability may include mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Compensation & BenefitsPay range: USD $27–33/hour (midpoint $30/hour). Base pay is determined by skills, experience, and level of responsibility. Eligible for a lucrative bonus plan based on store performance.
