A local manufacturer of water management products that maintains, manages and protects our freshwater resource is looking to hire a Manufacturing Tech II. This position provides the general labor support in production and begins cross training in machine operation, maintaining safe work practices.

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Three (3) months experience as a Downstream Technician (Mnft l)
Preferred (Not Required):
  • Forklift experience or achieve a forklift certification
Job Duties:
  • Roll pipe onto coiling machine, tie with twine, and transport rolls / bundles to assigned staging area
  • Work efficiently to maintain line speed to keep production flowing smoothly and prevent piles of pipe from forming
  • Work as a back-up operator, completing start-up / shut-down procedures, operating all assigned production lines in a safe, efficient, and productive manner while maximizing output
  • Operate forklift to move finished product
  • Support the block change / changeover process as required
  • Verify that finished goods meet Prinsco's quality standards, Identifying and reporting defects or improper machine operations immediately
  • Complete accurate, real-time reporting as required
  • Assist other team members, as needed
  • Focus on cross-training, continuous learning, and improvement
  • Qualify as an operator, including training in additional skill levels, including machine operations, computer requirements, and paperwork
  • Train to assist with corrective maintenance, repairs, or changeovers, performing mechanical adjustments to equipment, as needed during production
  • Participate and support the Continuous Improvement (Cl) culture. Complete other duties as assigned
  • Effective communication skills to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram forms
  • Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Consistently lift up to 25 lbs, 50 lbs 1/3 of the day, and 75 lbs less than 1/3 of the day
  • Use hands to reach over 2/3 of the day
  • Stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl for over 2/3 of the day
  • Distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more), peripheral vision, depth perception, and color differential
  • Work in a production environment that is not temperature controlled and occasionally in varying outdoor weather conditions
  • Work in loud noisy environments
Employer Notes:
  • Employer performs drug test and background check prior to first day of employment
  • Employer location is not on the bus route
Hours and Wages:
  • Full time Monday-Friday
  • Swing shift
  • $18 to $26 per hour, depending on experience + $3 shift differential
