Overview

Responsibilities- Assist the Store Manager in day‑to‑day operations, including sales, customer service, administration, marketing, and merchandising.
- Assume the Store Manager’s duties in his or her absence.
- Sales Generation
- Meet personal and store sales goals.
- Track, monitor, and communicate business results.
- Maintain a high level of sales and service by leading and coaching associates.
- Develop personal sales techniques and help associates improve theirs.
- Ensure adherence to all sales policies and procedures.
- Demonstrate in‑depth product knowledge and train staff accordingly.
- Stay informed about fashion industry trends.
- Customer Service
- Ensure all associates provide the highest level of service.
- Build repeat clientele through personal client books and support staff in using theirs.
- Resolve client problems and complaints promptly.
- Assist sales associates with customer inquiries (e.g., returns, defective merchandise).
- Operations
- Collaborate on risk management, physical security, cash controls, and inventory management.
- Support staff training on register usage and maintenance.
- Execute register functions, inventory counts, bank deposits, safe funds, and petty cash procedures.
- Merchandising/Visual
- Implement and maintain merchandising and visual directives.
- Keep the sales floor neat, clean, organized, and reflective of the brand’s visual image.
- Process deliveries promptly and communicate inventory needs effectively.
- People Development
- Assist in recruitment, training, and development of staff.
- Ensure payroll integrity and support the payroll process.
- Evaluate associate performance and provide continuous feedback.
- Address human resources issues promptly, collaborating with HR when necessary.
- Promote professional image and grooming standards that reflect the brand.
- Minimum 3 years of retail experience, with 1–2 years in specialty management.
- College degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Strong business acumen and skill set.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
