SUMMARY
Support client base by performing troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance on all types of industrial refrigeration equipment and systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Diagnose, repair, and perform maintenance on industrial refrigeration equipment and systems.
- Start up new refrigeration systems.
- Complete required documentation and paperwork, including service work orders, maintenance checklists, calibration and safety control testing documentation, IIAR safety inspections, LOTO log, startup paperwork.
- Communicate findings and required actions to customers efficiently and effectively.
- Coordinate with Service Coordinator on work order progress, scheduling, and parts needs.
- Assist management with office projects as needed.
- Make decisions based on customer needs and APCCO standards, maintain cooperation between customer and APCCO team.
- Purchase supplies and expenses cost‑effectively, share savings ideas, and abide by approved budgets.

Primarily at customer locations with open, loud environments, exposure to various equipment, and processing chemicals.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES- Knowledge of industrial refrigeration systems used in cold storage, food and beverage processing.
- First‑hand experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial refrigeration equipment, valves, controls, pump downs, evacuations.
- Experience with calibrations and start‑ups, including compressor alignment.
- Safe handling of ammonia refrigeration systems and anhydrous ammonia practices.
- Basic safety knowledge: OSHA regulations, PPE, LOTO, Line Break.
- Fit Test pass and respirator usage.
- Reading blueprints, plans, and specifications.
- Travel to meet clients and service equipment.
- Effective team participation, conflict resolution, diversity, ethical practices, and citizenship.
Full‑time. Monday through Friday 7:00 am – 4:00 pm, hours may vary based on needs.
TRAVELRequired; service needs of customers.
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE- 5–7 years experience as operator or service technician with industrial refrigeration systems (e.g., food/beverage plants, cold storage warehouses, equipment manufacturers).
- Retired Operator Certification (plus) or Refrigeration Trade School graduate (plus).
- Valid driver’s license; work with company vehicles must comply with APCCO policies.
Other duties may be assigned.
PHYSICAL DEMANDSRequires standing, walking, lifting up to 50 lbs, carrying 20 lbs, pushing/pulling 40 lbs, climbing, reaching, working above shoulder, fine and gross manipulation, hand twisting, and other typical tasks. Reasonable accommodations available.
