Transit Bus Driver - Part-time, Woodburn

City of Woodburn is seeking a part-time Transit Bus Driver to operate the Woodburn Transit Service on weekends and limited weekday hours. This safety-sensitive role involves driving on a pre-determined schedule, ensuring safe and courteous service to passengers, and maintaining the vehicle’s cleanliness and operational readiness.

Part-time, up to 19 hours per week. Weekdays: 7:30 am - 10:00 am. Saturdays: 8:30 am - 5:30 pm. Sundays: 8:30 am - 3:30 pm.

• Operate Woodburn Transit buses on designated routes, following all safety and operational regulations.
• Provide safe and reliable transportation to passengers, offering assistance to seniors and people with disabilities.
• Conduct pre-trip inspections, monitor vehicle condition, and report any maintenance issues.
• Maintain accurate logs of mileage, fuel, and passenger count.
• Represent the City professionally at all times.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of one year of experience operating a bus or transit van with a wheelchair lift, or equivalent training.
• Valid Oregon Class B CDL with passenger endorsement and air-brake endorsement.
• Must pass a pre-employment background check.
• Mandatory pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing (Federal Transit Administration regulations).
• Bilingual in Spanish/English strongly preferred.
