Description

• Ability to build relationships and effectively lead a team.

• Providing a rewarding shopping experience by leading merchandising, replenishment, and retail floor operations.
• Mentoring and developing teammates by providing on-the-job training for Grocery retail floor staff. Setting an example as a mature and productive team leader.
• Assisting customers with questions and product selection by suggestive selling.
• Maintaining merchandising plan with feedback to department manager to ensure its success.
• Discovering customer needs and providing them service in a prompt and courteous manner.
• Sharing your working knowledge of grocery offerings and trends.
• Displaying excellent interpersonal skills.

• Delegate tasks to retail floor clerks such as pulling back stock, re-pricing of goods and working on inventory projects.
• Ensure accurate, up-to-date labeling (or shelf tags) for department items; double-checking to ensure regular and sale prices are ringing correctly.
• Provide excellent customer service to all store patrons.
• Verify that items are maintained in an in-stock, on-the-shelf position, with special attention paid to the items in the top 10% as well as end-caps and special displays.
• Establish and maintain a positive work environment that supports high department morale.
• Responsible for receiving orders for quality control. Check deliveries for damage, quality, and accuracy, and note discrepancies on invoice as needed.
• Open to working flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Previous experience in natural/organic foods, grocery or retail preferred.
