Job Summary
Salary Range: $22.12 - $25.00*
Responsibilities- Assign responsibility for tasks and decisions, set and communicate a clear vision, and drive positive outcomes through objectives and measures
- Generate and share ideas while maintaining a keen eye for detail as an analytical thinker
- Contribute to a collaborative work environment that encourages creative thinking and innovation
- Engage in high-level teamwork and communicate diplomatically to secure cooperation with minimal disruption
- Consider the big picture, make decisions, and work under pressure as a transformative thinker
- Build awareness and inspire by acting as a role model for the Saks OFF 5TH customer experience
- Engage in store-wide communication regarding Asset Protection best practices, training, new hire orientation, and safety and shortage meetings
- Develop, implement, and execute local shortage strategy and conduct audits as per company standards
- Maintain and adjust physical security standards to ensure they meet company policies
- Facilitate the selling process through consistent adherence to policies and procedures that safeguard customers, associates, and company assets
- Detect, detain, and document shoplifters by applying the five stages of arrest
- Identify and present opportunities for improving Asset Protection strategies to senior leadership using audit data
- Achieve investigative performance targets by identifying and addressing internal and external theft exposures, completing accident investigations and general liability claims reports
- Perform Asset Protection operational and self-audits in high shortage departments and sensitive areas
- Respond to after-hours alarm calls and emergency situations
- Efficiently complete special projects assigned by store leadership
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid region/market-specific security license as required by local government regulations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite
- Ability to discuss Asset Protection practices and trends during team and leadership meetings
- Knowledge of retail procedures and criminal‑civil proceeding processes is an asset
- Working knowledge of retail security and information systems, and productivity software
