Position DetailsPart‑time position starting at 1–2 days per week
Monday availability required: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Additional day and schedule are flexible based on applicant availability
Job SummaryAs a Registered Dental Hygienist, you will provide exceptional dental care that makes our patients feel like family. You will perform preventative hygiene services, educate patients on oral health, and assist in supporting comprehensive patient care. We’re looking for someone who is friendly, outgoing, detail‑oriented, and committed to creating a fantastic dental experience.
Responsibilities- Welcome patients into the treatment area and help them feel comfortable and cared for
- Perform dental cleanings, periodontal therapy, and preventive treatments
- Discuss treatment recommendations and oral health goals with patients
- Perform preliminary exams and collect oral health histories
- Take digital x‑rays and intraoral images
- Evaluate patients for signs of gum disease, cavities, and infection
- Remove plaque and apply fluoride treatments
- Teach proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care
- Maintain accurate clinical notes and patient records
- Prepare sterilized equipment and assist during exams and procedures as needed
- Collaborate closely with the doctor and team to provide exceptional patient care
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, HIPAA guidelines, and office policies
- Help create a positive, supportive, and high‑energy clinical environment
- Current Minnesota Dental Hygienist license
- Associate’s Degree from an accredited dental hygiene program required
- 1–2 years of dental hygiene experience preferred
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and dentistry safety guidelines
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Gentle, patient‑focused approach to care
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive movements as needed
- Experience with digital charting and dental software preferred
- Positive attitude and team‑oriented mindset
