Sr. Mechatronics & Robotics Technician - JLL
Lead service technicians in the installation and repair of automated packaging and distribution equipment while supporting the Operations Maintenance team with design solutions, project management, and training.
Responsibilities- Lead and mentor service and contract technicians.
- Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures.
- Maintain and troubleshoot conveyor systems and all equipment related to automated packaging and distribution.
- Lead and audit preventative maintenance procedures.
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot relay logic, ladder diagrams, control components, photo‑eyes, motor starters, limit switches, proximity sensors, solenoids, and related equipment.
- Create and close out work orders with detailed data including labor hours, equipment maintenance, and parts used.
- Develop training plans for service technicians and work plans for emergency repair of critical assets.
- Maintain positive working relationships across the Operations facility and develop work plans for emergency repair of critical assets.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to work flexible schedules/shifts/areas, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
- 3+ years of experience in preventative maintenance.
- 3+ years of experience reading blueprints and schematics.
- 2+ years of work order management.
- Associate’s or higher degree from a vocational school or college with a focus in Mechanical or Electrical engineering.
- 5+ years of experience working with automated conveyors and controls.
- 2+ years of experience with electrical and electronic principles.
- 4+ years apprenticeship or equivalent experience in the Mechanical or Electrical field.
- Previous leadership experience.
- Vendor management experience.
- Experience with robotic maintenance.
- Experience with Material Handling Equipment (MHE) safety standards in accordance with OEM and safety standards.
- Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Repetitive bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching, twisting, sitting, standing, and walking.
- Lifting parts and tools weighing on average 20 pounds, occasionally up to 49 pounds.
- Dexterity in eye/hand coordination, foot pedal operation, and wrist motion (repetitive flexion/rotation).
- Working conditions may include small spaces, dust, fumes, hot/cold temperatures, noise, vibration, and standing on concrete for long hours.
- May require working at heights, pushing or pulling wheeled equipment and carts up to 100+ pounds, maneuvering bulky equipment parts, and working in cramped positions under or behind machinery.
- Estimated compensation: 76,960.00 – 76,960.00 USD per year.

On-site – Woodbury, MN. - This position does not provide visa sponsorship. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
