Responsible for the coordination and implementation of construction project and branch office network infrastructure and project specific technical equipment and systems required, including monitoring and supporting of networks.
Responsibilities- Work with construction project managers and segment stakeholders to provide quotes and implementation plans for onsite network connectivity and project specific technical equipment and systems as required.
- Coordinate with Mas Tec network resources to provision equipment for construction jobsites and branch offices.
- Monitor and elevate issues to engineering for support of all networks.
- Assist in any acquisition network migrations.
- Always adhere to Mas Tec IT, Network, and Security Policies.
- Act as the primary point of contact between Mas Tec IT, segment site leadership, and the Internet Service Provider.
- Identify and implement network infrastructure aligning with the unique requirements of each client contract.
- Implement jobsite network equipment (requiring frequent travel, 50–80 percent).
- Low voltage knowledge, able to run and terminate cables.
- Decommission network equipment at the construction project or office completion.
- Report and effectively communicate the status of the projects to internal and external resources.
- Communicate and assist with prioritization of project activities and dependencies.
- Participate in Change Control activities.
- Demonstrate respect through courteous and professional interaction with staff and customers and show integrity when approaching all situations.
- Be accountable for the overall success of each project.
- 5-7 years of IT experience, 3-5 of which is related to network projects.
- Take reasonable care of your own and others’ health and safety and of those who may be affected by the day‑to‑day delivery of this role by taking personal responsibility for working toward Zero Injury principles.
- Read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations.
- Write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
- Effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
- Project Management knowledge preferred.
- When visiting jobsites, the work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.
- This work environment may involve moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors and/or loud noises.
