About the Role
Seeking an R&D Engineer to support sustaining engineering and design changes for established electrical/electromechanical medical device platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Support design changes, requirements, Design Controls, Change Notices, and engineering documentation.
- Develop and validate test methods and execute Design Verification (DV) testing.
- Author DV protocols, analyze test results, troubleshoot failures, and prepare technical reports.
- Collaborate with Quality, Regulatory, Operations, vendors, and technical teams.
- Assess design changes and their impact on existing product requirements and DHF documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Medical device R&D or product engineering experience.
- Electrical, Electromechanical, Mechanical, or related Engineering background.
- Experience with sustaining engineering and medical device design changes.
- Hands-on Test Method Development and Test Method Validation (TMV) experience.
- Strong Design Verification experience, including protocol development, testing, data analysis, and reporting.
- Knowledge of Design Controls, DHF, requirements, design inputs, and traceability.
- Experience with formal change-control processes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Windchill or similar PLM experience.
- Systems Engineering experience.
- DHF remediation/gap assessment.
- Root cause analysis and test failure investigation.
- Vendor/supplier technical coordination.
- Cardiovascular or catheter device experience.
