Role DescriptionThe Food and Beverage Manager is a full-time, on-site role located at Courtyard by Marriott in Woodbury, MN. This role oversees daily food and beverage operations, including the bistro, bar, and any catering or banquet services, ensuring high standards of product quality and guest satisfaction. Responsibilities include supervising and scheduling staff, monitoring service levels, managing inventory and ordering supplies, and enforcing food safety and cleanliness standards.
The manager will track budgets and costs, assist with menu planning and pricing, and collaborate with hotel leadership to support revenue goals. The role also involves training and coaching team members, resolving guest concerns promptly and professionally, and maintaining a welcoming and efficient dining environment.
- Demonstrated expertise in food service and food & beverage operations, including product quality, safety, and presentation standards.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to create positive guest experiences and handle feedback or issues effectively.
- Experience in training, mentoring, and supervising team members to maintain consistent service and performance.
- Budgeting skills, including cost control, forecasting, and basic financial analysis for food and beverage operations.
- Previous leadership experience in hospitality, restaurant, or hotel food and beverage management preferred.
- Solid organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional hotel teams.
- Knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation regulations;
Serv Safe or similar certification is an advantage. - Flexible schedule availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; hospitality or business-related education is a plus.
