  • Investigate customer complaints and product rejections to determine root causes and identify improvements to inspection and manufacturing processes.
  • Champion the corrective action process, including root-cause analysis, implementation, verification, effectiveness review, and customer response.
  • Work with Manufacturing, Purchasing, and suppliers to resolve quality concerns involving rejected material, inspection methods, procedures, and gaging.
  • Communicate directly with customers and suppliers regarding manufacturing requirements, product quality, corrective actions, and potential deviations from specifications.
  • Maintain strong customer relationships through timely, professional, and effective communication.
  • Support customer and supplier audits and assist with implementing requested quality improvements when feasible.
  • Develop suppliers and promote variation-reduction practices that improve incoming material quality and reduce waste.
  • Review customer inspection reports involving rejected parts or shortages and determine appropriate corrective actions.
  • Generate, maintain, review, and submit PPAP documentation in accordance with customer requirements.
  • Review and approve First Article Inspection Report documentation before shipment.
  • Issue and track Return Material Authorizations as required.
  • Attend Material Review Board and Tool Review meetings as assigned.
  • Recommend equipment, resources, or training needed to maintain customer and quality standards.
  • Support and document process improvements designed to prevent recurring quality issues.
  • Assist manufacturing employees with quality questions and customer-related concerns.
  • Support plant safety and respond to urgent situations as assigned.

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • A collaborative approach to working with Manufacturing, Engineering, Purchasing, Sales, customers, and suppliers.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and respond effectively to urgent quality concerns.
  • A proactive, continuous-improvement mindset.
  • Sound judgment, professionalism, and tact when addressing customer or supplier concerns.
