We are seeking a Financial Data Engineer to build and maintain the robust data pipelines that drive our investment decisions. You will work at the intersection of technology and finance, ensuring our data is accurate, accessible, and actionable.
Responsibilities- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines for market and alternative data.
- Develop APIs and microservices to deliver data to quantitative models and trading systems.
- Optimize database performance and ensure high availability of critical financial datasets.
- Collaborate with analysts to structure data for advanced analytics and machine learning.
- Implement rigorous data quality checks and validation protocols.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in data engineering, preferably within the financial services industry.
- Expert proficiency in Python, SQL, and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP).
- Experience with time-series databases and large-scale data processing.
- Strong understanding of software engineering best practices.
- Experience with financial data providers (e.g., Refinitiv, tick data).
- Knowledge of distributed computing frameworks (Spark, Hadoop).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code.
