The Construction Project Manager/District Inspector reports to the Director of Engineering/District Engineer and is a member of the District’s Engineering Department team. The Contractor’s construction of District water and sewer systems is inspected to ensure contractors meet District requirements, engineering drawings and contract specifications, and that the quality of materials and standards of workmanship conform to District standards. The role provides coordination between different District departments for various programs.

Any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the applicant with the knowledge, skills and abilities required to perform the job.

Bachelor’s degree in project management, construction management, or certificate in Certified Public Infrastructure Inspector (CPII) desired.

Ten years of experience that may include a combination of water and/or sewer related construction and/or inspection experience. Four years of experience performing construction inspector work.

Duties are a mix of office work with substantial field work where the employee may be exposed to adverse weather conditions, loud noises, and hazards from automobile traffic, heavy equipment, and construction sites. Occasional nighttime inspections may be required.
