Seasonal, part-time Wine Club Representative Lead job in Woodinville, WA is available at Chateau Ste. Michelle. In this role, you will provide exceptional customer service experiences for Vintage Reserve Club Members and help manage club marketing, reporting, events and strategic planning. We are looking for a high-energy, self-motivated individual with strong project management skills and high detail orientated.
This is a seasonal, part-time hourly role that is eligible for tips. This seasonal opportunity generally runs from May through October, depending on business needs. This role requires availability in the evenings and on weekends to support our Summer Concert Series.

Job Responsibilities
- Act as a representative for the wine club to assist members.
- Provide front line customer service to wine club members, to include serving wine and all related service and backbar duties.
- Proactively “upsell” wine club members, grasping every opportunity to add to existing allocation based on club member's preferences.
- Assist with the supervision of the Club team to create outstanding guest experiences.
- Create positive guest experiences through ongoing staff support and development.
- Provide clear direction and support to staff regarding department initiatives and programs.
- Assist in developing and executing innovative strategies of forward thinking for wine club membership.
- Keep informed on daily happenings regarding the Club and Tasting Room and help keep team up to speed on changes, events, promotions, and special tours/tastings.
- Assist in the planning & coordination of club events.
- Respond to inbound phone calls and e-mails and make outbound phone calls related to general customer inquiries.
- Manage and support proper execution of all aspects of Wine Club operations, including customer engagement experiences, opening/closing procedures, inventory management, financial accountability and personnel management.
- Variety of data entry responsibilities to support the wine club.
- Researching and resolving routine customer service inquiries or problems.
- Work with management with the effective, tactful and professional enforcement of various winery policies regarding guest use of the facility.
- Operate POS/registers to sell wine, merchandise, wine club memberships and to collect wine tasting fees as needed.
- Troubleshoot POS and problematic orders to resolve issues effectively.
- Always utilize proper safety and sanitation techniques (i.e., handcart, lifting, glass handling, cleaning/sanitizing protocols etc.).
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment in accordance with state and company guidelines.
- Assist with fulfillment of wine club and eCommerce orders as necessary, including pulling, packing and processing wine orders for delivery, as well as curbside pickup.
- Assist with the set-up, execution/service, and breakdown of special events as requested.
- Perform other related duties requested.
- Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Must be at least 21 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent.
- MAST 12 Class Permit and Food Handler's Permit required.
- Outstanding customer service skills and a minimum of three (3) or more years of customer service experience required (retail/hospitality preferred).
- Supervisory/lead experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, problem solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- High level of experience with problem solving and customer resolution while remaining calm and professional.
- Interest in and knowledge of wine and wine industry, including international wines.
- Ability to speak comfortably and audibly in front of groups.
- Superior knowledge of Point of Sales (POS) systems.
- Basic computer skills required.
- History of responsible use of alcohol and other appropriate conduct, as well as fitness to be licensed, permitted, and/or certified by state and/or local regulatory bodies.
$21.41 - $27.83 per hour based upon relevant experience.
