Cost Accountant

Bentec Medical OpCo, LLC is based in Woodland, CA. Bentec Medical specializes in the manufacturing of silicone implant and non-implant grade medical devices, recognized as a top OEM global manufacturer for over 24 years. Manufacturing capabilities include molding, calendering, extrusion, dip coating, assembly and machine shop services.

The cost accountant position is accountable for ongoing analysis of process constraints, controls, BOM management, margin analysis, and tracing costs back to underlying activities. The Cost Accountant will be the backup for Payroll, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Cash Management and will have the opportunity to grow in all areas of Accounting.

• Coordinate physical inventory counts and cycle counts
• Update standard costs in the bill of materials
• Review standard and actual costs for inaccuracies
• Validate the cost of goods sold as part of the month‑end close
• Establish and maintain cost accounting policies and procedures
• Review routers and compare to BOMs for discrepancies
• Perform analysis for materials costing, pricing and margin to guide operations managers to an understanding of their cost
• Support external audits in all areas of Accounting
• Perform in‑depth analysis of direct manufacturing and overhead cost to guide operations managers to an understanding of their cost
• Review and approve inventory purchases and process related inventory payables
• Complete implementation of current PCMRP system to achieve full system utilization, including identification and documentation of related processes
• Participate in month‑end close process creating journal and balance‑sheet reconciliations
• Cross‑train with other team members on payable, receivables and payroll to ensure all positions have a trained backup
• Monthly financial statement creation
• Participate in the budgeting process for sales and related cost management

• 3+ years of accounting/finance experience in a manufacturing environment; BA/BS degree, CPA preferred, excellent analysis skills, and ability to collaborate with a multi‑department team.
• MRP and manufacturing experience required.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel experience required.
• Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude.
