A Day in the Life:- Executes client-directed special projects, delivering high-touch, personalized service that extends beyond traditional accounting for multi-generational family needs.
- Monitors evolving client needs proactively and aligns services to deliver measurable value.
- Evaluates the costs, benefits and risks of alternative solutions to client problems or needs.
- Collaborates with internal tax experts to deliver customized solutions to clients.
- Builds enduring relationships by integrating financial expertise with personalized service, ensuring clients feel supported and understood.
- Functions as the client’s dedicated accounting department, managing all day-to-day financial operations.
- Manages a team of accounting professionals, ensuring quality control, efficiency, and scalability in service delivery.
- Leverages advanced technology platforms to maintain real-time visibility into transactions, enabling timely insights and informed decision-making.
- Implements systems that streamline workflows and reduce risk, enhancing operational efficiency for clients.
- Reviews month-end balancing, journal entries, and GL analysis, translating data into actionable insights.
- Acts as a personal CFO to provide strategic advisory services—including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow optimization.
- Prepares and analyzes client’s key performance indicators (KPIs) and other management reports.
- Communicates clear, timely month-end results and prepares all required reports—sales tax filings, year-end tax forms, and financial statements.
- Identifies opportunities to simplify processes and reduce complexity, adding efficiency without sacrificing accuracy.
- Mentors and trains staff to elevate technical proficiency and client service standards within private accounting.
- Actively seeks feedback to innovate and refine service offerings of the Private Client Solutions practice.
- Participates in business development initiatives, proactively identifying opportunities to deliver additional value to the client, reinforcing trust and continuity across generations.
- Develops new product offerings based on identified needs of clients.
- Manages client billings to ensure they reflect client services provided.
- Participates in community organizations and industry functions.
- Ensures timely and accurate performance on assigned projects.
- Maintains compliance with project budgets, turnaround times, and deadlines.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
- 10+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience required including experience managing staff.
- Experience with multi-generational families, HNW or family office required.
- Valid Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant license preferred.
- Demonstrates deep knowledge of general ledger accounting principles, ensuring accuracy and compliance for complex, multi-entity structures typical of Family Offices and High Net Worth clients.
- Ability to think innovatively to incorporate technology solutions and streamlined processes.
- Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
- Ability to work on multiple projects and meet deadlines by setting priorities with work projects.
- Builds and sustains trusted partnerships with clients and internal teams, creating a collaborative environment that prioritizes discretion, responsiveness, and personalized service.
- High proficiency in technology and accounting platforms, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), Quick Books, and other specialized software.
