What you'll do
  • Lead and manage construction projects, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to develop project plans and schedules.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
  • Facilitate communication between project stakeholders, including clients, team members, and suppliers, to ensure alignment on project goals.
  • Prepare and present project updates to management and clients, highlighting milestones, challenges, and solutions.
  • Manage project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Oversee the procurement of materials and equipment, negotiating with suppliers to secure the best prices and delivery timelines.
  • Address any issues or delays that arise during the construction process, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Mentor and train junior staff and subcontractors, fostering a culture of safety and excellence on‑site.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to construction practices.
  • Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential project risks.
  • Utilize project management software to track progress, manage budgets, and report on project status.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management or a related field, with a focus on project supervision.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing multiple construction projects simultaneously.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, safety regulations, and building codes.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide diverse teams.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey information to various stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools, with a strong aptitude for data analysis and reporting.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and challenges.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing issues.
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel to various job sites as needed.
Nice to have
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with sustainable building practices and green construction methods.
  • Familiarity with local construction industry standards and regulations in Washington State.
  • Certification in project management (PMP or equivalent) is a plus.
  • Bilingual skills, particularly in Spanish, are advantageous for communication with diverse teams.
