Job Description
The Customer Service Representative (CSR) is a multifaceted position with the overall broad objective of providing assistance and support to Metal Sales internal and external customers, resulting in complete customer satisfaction and increased sales by coordinating all requests for information, promotional material, or products with a focus on accuracy and timeliness. Responsible for all aspects of day-to-day customer service to include order entry, problem resolution, customer relationship management, correct invoicing, and sales support as necessary.
- Conduct all aspects of customer service including but not limited to order input, inside sales, invoicing, and resolution of customer disputes.
- Produce documents and respond to inquiries both internal and external in a timely manner.
- Assist both branch and sister branch personnel with order processing, including timeliness, status, and availability.
- Assist with resolution of disputes for both internal and external customers.
- Contribute and foster teamwork within the administrative function.
- Provide pricing as time and ability permits, including quotes for small light gauge jobs where pricing is readily available.
- Provide support as needed to outside sales personnel.
- Coordinate delivery with shipping and traffic manager as necessary.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 1+ years of customer service or inside sales experience required.
- Excellent communication skills and problem solving abilities.
- Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word required.
- Construction and/or manufacturing knowledge strongly desired.
- Must be detail oriented and able to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
The US hourly rate for this full‑time position is $20.00+ medical, dental, vision benefits starting day 1 + 401k and PTO. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Full‑time is defined as regularly working 30+ hours per week.
